Tax Advisory and Resolution Services and List of Fees
An open and transparent list of fees and offerings is important to understand your investment in reaching a resolution, and thus, you can anticipate the following fee schedule starting with tax advisory services, followed by tax resolution services.
Initial Meeting for Personal and Small Business Tax Advisory:
$375. Includes a meeting either via video remotely or in person. The meeting could be as quick as an hour, however, you should anticipate up to two hours as I usually ask a lot of questions and attempt to understand your current position and potential changes in a holistic manner. Generally, I will then take the information learned in the meeting, as well as likely requesting additional documents in order to formulate a strategy to move forward. This fee is applied to our advisory and tax preparation services if you wish to begin an engagement. Tax Planning Initial Meeting – Click to Schedule a meeting
Tax Engagement Fees:
Individual Tax Advisory including Tax Preparation with Residential Rental Properties:
$395 plus $235 for each residential rental property (up to a four-plex) and/or $90 per unit for apartment buildings, for your schedule E (with up to two W2s) included with a personal return. The cost is primarily made up of the tax advisory. We will provide guidance and advice on how you can position your rentals to take advantage of the many potential tax deductions available, including cost segregation and proper (and correct) depreciation of your rentals. Often, this consists of optimization on when and how your rental business structures its depreciation, income, and expenses. Tax Planning Initial Meeting – Click to Schedule a meeting

Tax Resolution Services:
Offer in Compromise or Payment Plan:
Please do not be fooled by companies stating they will guarantee or are willing to submit an Offer in Compromise prior to understanding your particular facts and situation. According to the IRS, most Offers in Compromise are rejected (but that shouldn’t be the case, and don’t fall victim to resolution promoters who don’t have your best interest in mind. Most of the rejections are or should be known ahead of time as the IRS has formulas that are known to tax professionals, enabling a very high probability to know in advance what is the best course of action. We separate the evaluation and submission into two parts and payments. This is a much better solution for YOU than some others, including the big and aggressive national advertisers who charge higher fees just to submit an Offer in Compromise without regard or initial evaluation of viability and if it is an appropriate and optimal solution for you or not.
Personal Obligation without Prior or Current Business Activity under $50,000:
$795 initial evaluation fee to determine if an Offer in Compromise and/or a payment plan is a viable solution. Once determined, and an Offer in Compromise and/or payment plan is a viable and appropriate option, the remaining balance of $2195 is due to move forward with representation and submission of the required IRS forms. State obligations are additional.
Personal Obligation without Prior or Current Business Activity under $200,000:
$1250 initial evaluation fee to determine if an Offer in Compromise and/or a payment plan is a viable solution. Once determined, and an Offer in Compromise and/or payment plan is a viable and appropriate option, the remaining balance of $2995 is due to move forward with representation and submission of the required IRS forms. State obligations are additional.
Personal Obligation without Prior or Current Business Activity under $1,000,000:
$1675 initial evaluation fee to determine if an Offer in Compromise and/or a payment plan is a viable solution. Once determined, and an Offer in Compromise and/or payment plan is a viable and appropriate option, the remaining balance of $3695 is due to move forward with representation and submission of the required IRS forms. State obligations are additional.
Personal Obligation with Prior or Current Business Activity under $75,000:
$1195 initial evaluation fee to determine if an Offer in Compromise and/or a payment plan is a viable solution. Once determined, and an Offer in Compromise and/or payment plan is a viable and appropriate option, the remaining balance of $2495 is due to move forward with representation and submission of the required IRS forms. State obligations are additional.
Personal Obligation with Prior or Current Business Activity under $250,000:
$1550 initial evaluation fee to determine if an Offer in Compromise and/or a payment plan is a viable solution. Once determined, and an Offer in Compromise and/or payment plan is a viable and appropriate option, the remaining balance of $3395 is due to move forward with representation and submission of the required IRS forms. State obligations are additional.
Personal Obligation with Prior or Current Business Activity under $2,000,000:
$1975 initial evaluation fee to determine if an Offer in Compromise and/or a payment plan is a viable solution. Once determined, and an Offer in Compromise and/or payment plan is a viable and appropriate option, the remaining balance of $3895 is due to move forward with representation and submission of the required IRS forms. State obligations are additional.
It’s VERY important to note that often an Offer in Compromise is NOT the best option and depending on the facts, can possibly lead to more money being paid to the IRS than a payment plan due to various factors including the Statute of Limitation on collections, specific facts related to the individual taxpayer and family, as well as other considerations. In other words, a careful analysis must be performed evaluating the totality of facts in order to determine the best course of action.
