Tax Advisory and Resolution Services and List of Fees

An open and transparent list of fees and offerings is important to understand your investment in working with me, and thus, you can anticipate the following fee schedule starting with tax advisory services, followed by tax resolution services.

Initial meeting to discuss personal or business tax advisory for a single member LLC or Sole Proprietorship:

$375. This includes a meeting either via video remotely or in person. The meeting could be as quick as an hour, however, you should anticipate up to two hours as I usually ask a lot of questions and attempt to understand your current position and potential changes in a holistic manner. Generally, I will then take the information learned in the meeting, as well as likely requesting additional documents in order to formulate a strategy to move forward. This fee is applied to our advisory and tax preparation services if you wish to move forward with us.

Individual Tax advisory and tax preparation with rental properties:

$345 plus $155 per rental property, for a schedule E (with up to two W2s) included with a personal return. The cost is primarily made up of the tax advisory. We will provide guidance and advice on how you can position your rentals to take advantage of the many potential tax deductions available, including cost segregation of your rentals. Often, this consists of optimization on when and how your rental business structures its depreciation, income, and expenses.

Business Tax advisory and tax preparation:

$895 for a single member LLC/INC on a schedule C (with up to two W2s) along with a personal return. The cost is primarily made up of the tax advisory. We will provide guidance and advice on how you can position your business to take advantage of the many potential tax deductions available. Often, this consists of optimization on HOW your business structures its finances, income, and expenses.

IRS Transcripts:

$95 To obtain authorization and to retrieve IRS transcripts to determine what income and payments the IRS has a record of for a taxpayer.

$155 To obtain authorization and to retrieve IRS transcripts to determine what income and payments the IRS has a record of for a taxpayer and spouse.

Offer in Compromise:

$4995 in two parts. $1950 initial evaluation fee, which applies towards future work, to determine if an Offer in Compromise is a viable solution. Once determined, and an Officer in Compromise is a viable option, the remaining balance of $3045 is due to move forward. This is a much better solution than some of the big and aggressive advertisers who want to receive much more just to submit an Offer in Compromise without regard if it’s a viable solution or not. Please do not be fooled by companies stating they will guarantee or are willing to submit an Offer in Compromise prior to understanding your particular facts and situation. Most Offers in Compromise are rejected, and most of the rejections are or should be known ahead of time as the IRS has formulas that are known to tax professionals, enabling a very high probability to know in advance what is the best course of action.

If an Offer in Compromise is not likely an option, $2850-$4995 depending on complexity (with initial evaluation fee applied towards total fee) to process a payment plan.

It’s VERY important to note that often an Offer in Compromise is NOT the best option and depending on the facts, can possibly lead to more money being paid to the IRS than a payment plan due to various factors including the Statute of Limitation on collections and the ability for a taxpayer to make payments.
